Omaheke Governor Pijoo Nganate and various heads of institutions in the region are working to strengthen safety measures following the recent brutal killings of innocent lives. 

Swapo Party Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa has called on the party members to regain control over the Swakopmund and Walvis Bay constituencies. 

Shaningwa made this remark at Swakopmund, where she welcomed new members.

Some members of parliament have called on the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs to look into allocating funds for research and documentation of the history and legacy of war veterans.
