President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has emphasised Namibia's commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Russia through the Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Floods have affected multiple communities in the Kunene Region, leaving thousands in need of urgent assistance.

Kunene Governor Vipuakuje Muharuka engaged stakeholders in the region to familiarise himself with the situation on the ground. 

The Support in Namibia of Albinism Sufferers Requiring Assistance (SINASRA) organisation continues to make an impact on people with albinism in the country.

The organisation has been soliciting protective gear and vision devices and raising awareness, especially among school-going children with albinism.

The Zambian government, through its central bank, the Bank of Zambia, has introduced a new family of banknotes dubbed the heritage series to replace the older ones.

The new notes come for the first time with an introduction of high-value notes that include 200 and 500 Zambian kwacha (ZK).

The Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, has said laws that hinder the participation of local businesses must be amended. 

Nekundi says there is a need for a comprehensive strategy to prioritise local enterprises in government projects, thereby boosting growth at home.
