Former President Nangolo Mbumba has called for the consolidation of Swapo Party unity and the protection of Namibia's national sovereignty as the country pursues economic emancipation.

The Namibia Ports Authority (NamPort) has declared a dividend of N$130 million. 

The announcement was made by the Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, after Namport's Annual General Meeting held in Windhoek.

The issue was raised during an oversight working session involving the council leadership and officials from the ministry’s Nkurenkuru office.
