The United Nations has hosted a special commemorative ceremony in honour of the late Founding President of Namibia, Dr Sam Nujoma, at its New York headquarters.

Spiritual leaders from different church denominations in Keetmanshoop, joined by congregants, hosted a memorial service in remembrance of the late Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, Dr. Sam Nujoma.

In a related development, Paratus Namibia has confirmed that the hacking was carried out by the Akira cybercriminal group.

In a statement, the company says that approximately 84 Gigabytes of internal data had been compromised.

The Mashi Traditional Authority leader, Fumu Joseph Tembwe Mayuni, has said the late Dr. Sam Nujoma leaves behind a legacy of unity, reconciliation, and freedom for all.

Minister of Justice Yvonne Dausab tabled the Ombudsman Amendment Bill, calling on lawmakers to strengthen the legal framework governing the Office of the Ombudsman.
