Voting at the Omao polling station in the Opuwo Rural Constituency was going at a snail's pace when the nbc News team visited in the afternoon.
The presiding officer, Ndjamba Mutjavikua, explained that the process was slow as they were catering for voters who lived in the remotest part of the region.
Dr. Panduleni Itula, the presidential candidate for the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), announced that the party will not accept the results of the current election, describing the process as "deeply flawed."
The Electoral Commission of Namibia will announce the first official results of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections later this evening.
With extended voting still going on at identified polling stations until nine o'clock this evening, Namibians had been keenly awaiting results.
Only 29 votes were cast on Friday, the first day of extension at the Omboto polling station in Nehale Lyampingana constituency.
The constituency is largely only accessible by 4x4 vehicles and has not seen much activity today.
