Senior Hydrologist Leonard Hango in the Cuvelai Etosha Basin says floods in the Cuvelai remain stable, as levels at the border are declining gradually.

In an interview with nbc News Leonard Hango says in many parts of the affected constituencies, most streams are maintaining high water levels.

The Presidency has clarified that former agriculture minister Mac Albert Hengari was, in fact, fired by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

In a brief statement, the Presidency said the President had expected Hengari’s resignation by Wednesday last week.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, along with Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare and other senior government officials, paid a visit to the homes of the grieving families in Okahandja this afternoon.
