The nation's tax-collecting authority, NAMRA, responded to public criticism about its systems when sharing new updates at a media conference today.

Keetmanshoop transport operators, mainly those operating mini-buses, have decided to keep fares unchanged despite rising fuel prices in a bid to retain customers.

The operators say the industry has become overly competitive, as smaller seven-seater vehicles at times prove more popular.

Solidarity messages were also conveyed from the African Union, United Nations and African Association for Public Administration and Management.

They emphasised the need to professionalise the public service and enhance digitalisation and inclusivity. 

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has emphasised the need to strengthen accountability, oversight and ethical leadership in public service for sustainable development. 

Dr Ngurare made the remarks at the 2nd African Management Development Institutes Network conference in Windhoek. 

Community members and unemployed youth in Walvis Bay are utilizing sport as a powerful tool to promote unity, healthy living, and to keep young people away from crime through weekly social wellness games and tournaments.
