People have already started to leave towns for the festive holiday, and minibus taxi operators at Keetmanshoop are unable to meet the high demand of commuters.

The Organisation for the Empowerment of Widows/Widowers and Orphans of HIV/AIDS (OEWONA) and other vulnerable people received donations, including boxes of masks, examination gloves, isolation gowns, bedding, and clothing. 

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) says the integration of mental health and psychological support within HIV services is key to promoting holistic care, as it will address both mental and physical health as well as improve HIV treatment adherence.

Police in the Kunene Region have launched the first phase of their festive season operation, dubbed Rain Bowl, to enhance public safety, order, and security throughout the holiday period.

The operation is part of efforts to ensure a peaceful and secure festive season for both residents and visitors.

To manage the annual influx of people from various parts of the country, the police in the Oshana Region have intensified their patrol and visibility across the region, which will continue until the 18th of January.
