President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has described the safety and security of judges, magistrates, prosecutors and legal practitioners as a serious concern.

Case registration in the country's courts has remained high over the past year, with the workload in the High Court’s civil stream rising from about 384 cases per judge in 2024 to more than 600 cases per judge last year.

Colonel Petrus Shilumbu, the spokesperson for the Namibia Defence Force (NDF), has clarified that nine candidates from the Tsumkwe Constituency have been shortlisted for recruitment and that three of them are from the marginalised community.

The National Youth Council (NYC) hosted the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Namibia, Dr. Magaly Henríquez González, during an official engagement focused on youth development, skills transfer and bilateral cooperation.

The Masubia Traditional Authority has installed Raphael Mbala as its Ngambela.

Ngambela Mbala is the former councillor of Kabbe South Constituency and a former teacher.  

He replaced Albius Kamwi, who had served in the same position for 13 years.
