Namibia joined 191 member states at the 28th Universal Postal Union (UPU) Congress in Dubai, where delegates adopted the "Dubai Strategy" and elected new leadership for the global postal sector.

Job Immanuel was elected as the new president of the Namibia National Liberation Veterans Association (NNLVA) at its elective congress held in Otjiwarongo.

Immanuel takes over from Ben Shikongo, who has been at the helm of the association since 2017.

The Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, is pleased with the progress made by the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) on the upgrading of the Trans Kalahari One Stop Border Post project.

The project aims to enhance trade facilitation.
