A coffee table pictorial publication celebrating and honouring the life and legacy of Namibia's Founding President, Sam Nujoma, was launched in Windhoek.

The Home of Good Hope Foundation led a demonstration from Black Chain shopping mall to the Katutura Magistrate's Court to express frustration over rape offenders being granted bail and roaming the same streets on which their victims live.

The City of Windhoek and PowerCom Namibia signed a memorandum of understanding to install 28 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras around the city in a bid to prevent and reduce crime. 

The city will allocate the CCTV cameras to selected areas to assist law enforcement agencies in fighting crimes.

The Karibib community demands improved safety and security measures, as well as the acceleration of community projects to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

The family of 16-year-old Antonio Angelo Xamseb, a grade 10 learner at the Karibib Junior Secondary School who was stabbed to death last weekend, are demanding answers.

When the nbc News crew arrived at the Xamseb residence, members of the family were clothed in black, symbolising grief and pain.
