1,780 police cadet constables from the Police Basic Training Intake 1/2024-2025 are expected to graduate on Friday at Oshakati.

The graduates will be officially recognised for completing a nine-month basic police training course, which started in August 2024.

A five-day strategic planning workshop has commenced at Swakopmund, bringing together various senior officials, governors, and staff from the Office of the President to craft a comprehensive five-year roadmap for the 2025/26-2029/30 period.

Chinese Ambassador to Namibia, Zhao Weiping, has said tariffs imposed on them by the United States would only have a positive impact on ties between China and Namibia.

The Chinese ambassador said the increase in tariffs by the US was a typical act of economic bullying by America.

Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) Member of Parliament, Deriou Benson, has tabled a report on the 10th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians.

The event was organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the National Assembly of Armenia from September 12–14 last year.

Young leaders from across the country have gathered for a three-day orientation as part of the newly formed Youth Advisory Panel set to serve for the next two years. 

The panel aims to ensure that youth are not just implementers but active advisors in national decision-making.
