Archery All Stars Championship ends

Archers who participated in the just-ended National Archery Schools Programme's African All Stars Championship, have described the competition as a success. Archers from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia battled it out at the SKW Home of Archery. The two-day event, that saw 112 archers competing, was the first of its kind to be hosted in Namibia. Some archers NBC spoke to applauded the Namibia Archery Association for the prestigious event, while some also said that the organisation around it had been well thought out. . South Africa scooped prizes in both the 3D and Bull's Eye Elimination categories, while host Namibia got the second place followed by Zimbabwe respectfully. However Namibia development teams dominated in that division collecting gold medals for both 3D and Eye Elimination categories. South Africa's team got silver, while the team from Zimbabwe returned home with bronze medals. Archers from Botswana said they are still picking up skills, as the programmes was only introduced to them recently.
