BOXERS PROMISE FIREWORKS AHEAD OF WBO AFRICA BATTLE

BRESCHNEFF KATJAIMO South African boxer Tello Dithebe, who is challenging Namibia’s Sakaria Lukas for the WBO Africa Featherweight title, has promised to stop his opponent’s unbeaten record. Local boxing fans are in for a pre-Christmas treat on December 2nd when WBO Africa featherweight champion Sakaria 'Desert Storm' Lukas and Jeremia Nakathila step in the ring against South African opponents for the WBO Africa titles. Two continental title fights are set to take place at the Windhoek Country Club. Sakaria Lukas, who is also known as “The Desert Storm “will headline the evening by taking on Dithebe Tello from South Africa in the WBO Super featherweight division. Lukas is currently ranked number three in the world and boasts a clean record of winning all his 20 fights, while Tello has lost seven out of his 27 fights. If everything goes his way, a win for Lukas will bring him closer to challenge for a world title. According to his promoter, Nestor Tobias, it’s difficult for African boxers to become mandatory challengers for the world title. “ It’s not an easy thing. We, as managers, are working hard to push Lukas to a certain level and it is then up to him to prove to the world on Saturday that he is the right one” explained Tobias. However, the 32-year-old Tello promised to come into this bonanza with other plans. “I am here to put the red carpet under your feet and destroy you in the ring, advice Tello. A confident Lukas, who is going into the fight with a home advantage, urged boxing fans to come see him jealously defending his title. “It will be a different page for Sakaria Lukas, come see yourself on Saturday night, the soft spoken boxer proclaimed. In the main undercard, Jeremiah "No Respect" Nakathila will attempt to defend his WBO Africa Jr lightweight title against African Union Boxing Jr lightweight champion Sibusiso Zingange, who also stems from South Africa. The event is set to also feature Harry Simon Jr in action against an opponent that will be announced at a later stage. Tobias told NBC that everything is in order and that he wants boxing fans to fill the Country Club to its capacity.
