Crossfit Plus264 heads to Durban

Namibia’s Crossfit Plus264 team will participate in the United We Stand Games in Durban this weekend NBC Sport caught up with Namibia’s Local Crossfit team, which will once again be participating in the annual “United We Stand” Games in South Africa over the weekend. The team members, who have been training all year long for the Crossfit Competition, hope to improve on their standings this year. With 168 Teams from all corners of the continent participating in this two-day, multi-disciplined event, things will surely get intense for the athlete Each team in the competition consists of three men and three women athletes who will to show off their skills to make sure their teams get top rankings. The Crossfit Plus264 team consists out of the following athletes: First up is Quinton van Rooyen Junior who was the fittest man in Africa in 2014 He is followed by the Crossfit coaches, Ingram van Heerden and Deon Gerber Leading out the women will be Thea Heesakkers She is followed by Elzke de Goede, who has already taken part in three Regionals and Francie Gerber. NBC Sport talked to Coach PD Stoman to hear what his thought were about his team ahead of the competition "I Think Everyone Complements one another really well We have a pretty Good team specialising in all different components that we would potentially be facing, we’ve got guys who are really good weight lifters, guys who are good at gymnastics guys who are good with endurance. So I think team wise we’ve been fortunate enough to be able to put together a really really strong team this year." said Stoman The event will kick off on Friday the 14th of October just outside Durban at the Inanda Dam and will end of Sunday the 16th of October.
