The Namibia Football Association, NFA, has called on the Government to explain to the players that all monies due to them will be paid as soon as the Association receives their money from the State. This is after the players gathered at the NFA Football House yesterday (Wed), demanding their outstanding monies. NFA Secretary General Barry Rukoro says he deemed it necessary to call on the Sports Commission and the Directorate of Sports to come and address the national team players. The Acting Chief Administrator of the Sports Commission, Walter Haseb and Sports Director Sivute Katamba informed them on how the process works to get money released by the Government. "These players are owed a lot of money for matches played and going into the Senegal game, it was becoming increasingly difficult for the NFA to keep telling the players the same thing,; we have not received our money from government yet; and so it is my responsibility to invite them, to come and explain to the players how the process of money release works", Rukoro says. The Brave Warriors are scheduled to travel to Senegal for their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Group K qualifiers against Senegal in Dakar on Saturday. Rukoro afterwards commended the players on their response to the matter, while also calling on them to remain professionals.
