Paralympians rewarded at this year's Sport Awards

Paralympians have been heavily rewarded at this year's Sport Awards, which were hosted last night at Windhoek Country Club. The Paralympic Relay team won the Team of the Year award, while their coach Michael Hamukwaya scooped this year year's coach of the year as well as the chairman's award. It was indeed a good night for Paralympians, with Ananias Shikongo visiting the podium first to receive his deserved Sportsman with disability of the year award. Shikongo was once again called to the podium to be awarded as the Sport Achiever of the Year. He walked away with more than three-hundred thousand Namibia dollars. De Wet Moolman won the Sportsman of the Year award and Beata Naigambo won the Sportswoman of the Year award, while Johanna Benson won the Sportswoman with Disability of the Year award. Delano Muller and Mayvonne Swart won the junior sportsman and woman awards, while Abraham Hafenanye and Lahja Ishitile won the Junior Sportsman and Woman with a Disability awards. Jackson Pavaza won the Referee of the Year award and Johannes Nambala the Most Improved Sportsperson of the Year.            
