The annual Windhoek Gymnasium sevens tournament is set to take place on the 8th and 9th of March, with some great rugby action lined up once again. The tournament, which has become a regular feature on the country's rugby calendar, will cater for three divisions this year. The youngsters of four high schools in the Under 15 categories will star alongside their senior counterparts as six under 19 teams will be at it for this year's bragging rights, while in the International Junior division six teams will once again be showing the best that their respective countries have to offer. The roster includes hosts Namibia, Germany, Botswana, Zimbabwe and two time defending champions South Africa, with the final spot still to be confirmed. The tournament will kick off on the Friday as from 1pm till 10pm with the official opening at 7pm. On Saturday morning the action will continue with gates opening as early as 8am. Apart from the mouth-watering action on the field, spectators are encouraged to dress up in true sevens rugby tradition, with great prizes up for grabs. Tickets are available at Windhoek Gymnasium's Admin reception and at the gates.
