As it has been the norm over the past years, the Windhoek City Runners Club yesterday organised a fun run under the theme "Survival of the Fittest" outside Windhoek.

The "survival of the Fittest" fun race which took in the early hours of yesterday saw the competitors conguered the Dordabis road on the east of the capital.

The event attracted runners in various categories under the banner of the Windhoek City Runners Club - which is one of the biggest road running and walking club in the country.

The Windhoek Runners Club in partnership with Namibia Medical Care have organised their first monthly run for 2023, which is scheduled to take place this coming weekend in Windhoek.

The event will be taking place at the Marine Aquatic Club, and is set to take on the theme "promoting healthy lives and fostering fitness culture". 

The organizers say the runners' safety will be the club's number one priority. 

There isn't a limited number of participants for this month's edition, as the organizers urge the public to come in numbers with their families.
