South Africa is experiencing a rise in xenophobic protests targeting foreigners, raising concerns among other African nations about the treatment of their citizens in South African cities.

Nairobi erupted in protests on Tuesday, as citizens took to the streets to denounce rising prices amid the global energy crisis. This led to a heavy police presence and at least 11 arrests, according to local media reports.

A group of aggrieved community members under the banner of the Tsumeb Aitsama Madan development project have taken to the streets, reportedly against the exclusion of youth in the employment of the BioMass Plant.
