World champion Chris Kinda, his guide Kelvin Goagaseb, and their coach T'Neil Young received a hero's welcome at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund.

The Namibian team at the Para Championship in Kobe, Japan, has scooped their first gold medal in the 400m through Chris Kinda and his guide, Riwaldo Goagoseb.

Namibian para-athlete Chris Kinda has been signed under the talent identification programme of Athletics Coach Henk Botha.
