Police officers urged to live within their means

The Acting Regional Commander of Kavango East says law enforcement officers who are drowning in debt find it difficult to perform official duties.

Deputy Commissioner Eino Nambahu says the recent promotions come with salary adjustments and advises those promoted to avoid debt traps and live within their means. 

147 members of the police force were promoted in Kavango East, consisting of 93 males and 54 females.

The promotions also came with a word of advice from the acting regional commander.

Kavango East police visits schools as part of Operation Genesis

Police in the Kavango East Region visited numerous schools in the region as part of Operation Genesis.

During their visit, the police educated the learners on crime prevention and the importance of self-discipline.

Kavango East Acting Regional Commander, Deputy Commissioner Eino Nambahu, says the school visiting programme is part of the police's responsibility.

The Acting Regional Commander says after the campaign he wants to see crime records reduce drastically.

Rundu Cash and Carry saga continues

The Cash and Carry at Rundu saga continues unabated as it remains unresolved despite them not returning to the stores on Friday.

The workers have been camping at the supermarket since Wednesday, blocking the entrance to the store until their demands are met.

The police had to be called in to forcefully remove the workers to allow the shop to operate.

Acting NamPol Regional Commander, Deputy Commissioner Eino Nambahu, says the police action was necessary to protect the rights of the employer, Cash n Carry.
