High Court judges Eileen Rakow and Philanda Christiaan will deliver judgement on 27 March in the bail appeal brought by six accused in the alleged NAMCOR corruption matter.
State Advocate Lilungwe Basson, this morning, told the Windhoek High Court that the State is not ready to proceed with the appeal of the bail application by Peter and Malakia Elindi and former Namcor executives Immanuel Mulunga, Jennifer Hamukwaya, Olivia Dunaiski, and Leo Nandago.
A magistrate found the evidence of one accused in the alleged multi-million-dollar Namcor corruption case to be truthful but ordered that she remain behind bars.
The appeal against the refusal of bail for the NAMCOR corruption accused persons will be heard in the Windhoek High Court from 14 to 16 January.
The appeal is against a magistrate’s refusal to grant bail.
Justice Philanda Christiaan and Justice Eileen Rakow will hear the matter.
