The First Lady of Namibia (FLON) and president of the Organisation of African First Ladies (OAFLAD), Monica Geingos, says that tools learned during the recently concluded First Ladies Academy could enhance their advocacy campaign.

FLON was referring to the recently launched "We are equal, and by working together, our society can be too" campaign, which will leverage the social capital of African First Ladies throughout the continent to spotlight the unfinished business of gender equality and the multiplier effect it will have on Africa's developmental trajectory.

President Hage Geingob says he was impressed by the US First Lady Jill Biden for highlighting Namibia's commitment to democracy and with respect to the country's position on certain issues.

Dr. Geingob conveyed his appreciation during a courtesy visit by US Ambassador to Namibia, Randy Berry at the State House.

US First Lady Dr. Jill Biden visited Namibia on the invitation of First Lady Monica Geingos, from the 22-25th February.
