Miss World Namibia, Selma Kamanya, made history by securing a spot in the Top Eight at the 72nd Miss World event held in Hyderabad, the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Telangana.

The prestigious title, contested by 107 other hopefuls, was awarded to Miss Thailand, Suchata Chuangsri.

The first runner-up was Miss Ethiopia, followed by Miss Poland as the second runner-up and Miss Martinique in fourth place.

In the lead-up to the finale, the eight finalists were asked a common question: why they believe they deserve to be Miss World.

Unfortunately, Miss World Namibia did not advance to the top four.

Kamanya was supported at the event by the Chairman of Miss World Namibia, Andreas Robert, and her mother, Priscilla Kamanya, alongside the Namibian nation.
