NIPDB hosts 'Invest in Namibia' session at Russia-Africa Summit

Foreign investors have been urged to approach the Namibian government if they have specific incentives they want to be considered before investing in Namibia.

This was said by the Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), Nangula Uaandja, at the ‘Invest in Namibia’ session at the Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg.

Namibia is promoting tourism, logistics, energy, and agriculture at the 2nd Russia-Africa Summit as key sectors to attract and retain investments and partnerships.

Business personalities from India explore investment opportunities in Namibia

A group of business personalities from India are in Namibia to explore investment opportunities.

The group of investors arrived in the country on Wednesday at the invitation of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB).

Their businesses specialise in various sectors such as water, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, fisheries, and aquatic resources, as well as other health sector products.

NIPDB CEO and Chairperson Nangula Uaandja welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for their prompt and positive response to the invitation.

Youth urged to take advantage of business opportunities available in various sectors

The Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), Nangula Uaandja has urged young people to take advantage of the business opportunities available in various sectors. 

Uaandja says the country has a lot to offer in terms of agriculture, mining and energy, oil and gas. 

Uaandja interacted with young entrepreneurs and professionals at an event titled "Oxungi." 

Namibia's potential private investment pipeline stands at N$161 billion- Uaandja

The value of Namibia's potential private investment pipeline currently stands at N$161 billion. 73% of this is said to be in renewable energy. 

The Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), Nangula Uaandja, said this when she addressed a media conference in Windhoek.

Uaandja says the potential private investment pipeline represents the value of private projects facilitated by the board.
