The Chief Executive Officer at Namibia Investment Promotion & Development Board (NIPDB), Nangula Uaandja, said Namibia needs to focus more on skills building if the country is to derive a return on investment.
Uaandja, who was speaking at the Government Information Center, says improving service delivery, infrastructure-especially rail-and owning affordable electricity will lead to attracting more investments.
In addition, she said there is a need to promote Namibia as a business tourist destination.
She mentioned that NIPDB's focus has shifted towards identifying key sectors that can drive economic growth while also examining the labor market from a demand-side perspective.
This approach involves assessing what the current demand for labor is and what the future demand should be to ensure sustainable economic growth.
