Lady Justices take oaths at Supreme Court

Two out of the three Lady Justices appointed to the Supreme Court in an acting capacity took their oath of affirmation today.

This is the first time in the country's judicial history that two Namibian female justices have been appointed to the Supreme Court.

During the appointment of the three Lady Justices, the Supreme Court emphasised the concerning lack of female representation at the highest court in the country.

They reiterated that this absence is a significant concern and stated their commitment to address the matter.
