Curtain closes on decade-long genocide negotiation

Cabinet has approved the signing of the Joint Declaration on the Genocide, Apology, and Reparations, signalling the closure of a decade-long negotiation process between the Namibian and German governments.

Gobabis, Aminuis Road inaugurated

A 170-kilometre stretch of road between Gobabis and Aminuis that has been upgraded to bitumen standards has been officially inaugurated by President Nangolo Mbumba.

The road directly links the Omaheke and Hardap regions.

Health Ministry boosts mental health efforts as suicides reach 542

542 people have committed suicide thus far, and the Health Ministry is intensifying efforts to create awareness and advocate for mental health education in the ||Kharas and Hardap regions ahead of World Mental Health Day. 

The day is commemorated each year on the 10th of December. 

Environment Ministry to renovate Etosha and Hardap National Parks

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism is expected to spend about N$47 million on renovating entrance gates and sanitation facilities at the Etosha and Hardap National Parks. 

The gates receiving face lifts are the Anderson, Von Lindqeuist, and King Nehale Lya Mpingana gates.
