A new primary school is set to be built at Gobabis to alleviate the overcrowding in existing schools.

Speaking at the site handover to the August 26 company at Gobabis, Omaheke Deputy Education Director Eliakim Kavari said the new school will improve teaching and learning.

Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security Minister Albert Kawana has urged the August 26 Company, which has taken over the construction of the Kunene police headquarters in Opuwo, to expedite its completion.

Workers of the August 26 company currently constructing the Schuckumannsburg Combined School Hostel in Luhonono in the Kabbe North Constituency are on a work stoppage because of unresolved grievances.
