The Namibian High Commission in Zambia has continued to play host to all manner of activities in honour of the late President Hage Geingob.

This has put the nbc local media crew on its toes, chasing after these solemn efforts worth sharing.

It's been almost 34 years since he last resided here in Lusaka, Zambia, but the fruits of his stay and labour are nearly everywhere.

The South African High Commission and partners celebrated Nelson Mandela Day with the residents of the Katutura Old Age Home.

The High Commission, in partnership with South African Airways and Namib Mills, donated 500 kilogrammes of food to the old age home. 

Nelson Mandela's Birthday celebrated on the 18th of July annually, is used to give back to the community.

Political counsellor Sholeen Mooljee at South Africa's High Commission urged everyone to do an act of kindness on the day.
