The Inspector General of the Namibian Police has announced the introduction of two new subjects for recruits currently undergoing training.

Lieutenant-General Joseph Shikongo revealed on Friday that stress and financial management will be incorporated to better prepare future members of the police force.

The National Youth Service (NYS) has officially welcomed the biggest intake in its history of more than 700 youth recruits at Henties Bay.

The 726 young people are the 15th intake, and they come from all corners of Namibia.

The Minister of Sport, Youth, and National Service, Agnes Tjongarero, has urged the new recruits of the National Youth Service at Henties Bay to embrace the training and gain skills to become self-dependent and thus contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
