The nbc Keetmanshoop Contribution Centre's radio studio is back on air.

This follows the upgrading of the contribution centre to allow the live broadcast of radio news and programmes from there.


The Head of Keetmanshoop Regional Contribution Centre, Natangwe Jimmy, says the installation of new radio studio equipment demonstrates the corporation's mission to increase its presence in the region.

A team of radio managers from the National FM, Hartklop FM, Kaisames, and KatiFM conducted auditions to find voices to be soon heard broadcasting from Keetmanshoop.

Namibia's first electric bus arrives

Namibia's first ever battery-electric bus has arrived.

The arrival of the bus that cost more than N$8 million in Oranjemund aligns with Namdeb's value of sustainability and its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

The e-Bus arrived in Oranjemund over a week ago and was unveiled to the employees and the Oranjemund community on Saturday.

Namdeb CEO Riaan Burger, who could not contain his excitement, reiterated that no business can claim to be geared for the future and contribute to the world in a positive way unless it becomes carbon neutral.

Access to comprehensive sexual education is key

Enhancing access to comprehensive sexual education and reproductive health services is important for vulnerable rural youth, who often experience feelings of isolation and neglect.

In response to this need, the Karas Arts and Dance Academy and the Ministry of Sport, Youth, and National Service have organised a one-week workshop at Keetmanshoop aimed at providing essential information to 20 rural youth regarding adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Twenty participants, mostly from rural areas in the ||Kharas Region, are taking part in the training.
