The National Planning Commission (NPC) has been allocated a N$283 million budget, a move Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare hailed as key to fulfilling the objectives of the sixth National Development Plan (NDP6).

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has urged members of parliament to familiarise themselves with the National Development Plans.

A public discussion by the Economic Association of Namibia (EAN) highlighted the structural causes of joblessness and emphasised the need to better align the country's economic growth with job creation. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah will be launching the 6th National Development Plan (NDP6) on Monday. 

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has said the funds allocated to the Office of the President for the 2025/2026 budget would enable President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah to effectively implement projects as outlined in the Swapo Party manifesto and the 6th National Development Plan.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services has launched a Customer Service Charter to improve the quality of healthcare services provided to all Namibians.

Communities in the Otjozondupa Region cited unemployment, a lack of infrastructure, and bulk services as areas that need urgent attention.

The inhabitants revealed this to the officials of the National Planning Commission (NPC) during their visit to the region.

Lack of value addition to the livestock subsector, inadequate access to potable water, poor network coverage, and rural electrification are some of the key areas that need attention to address regional development in the Omaheke Region.
