Residents of Windhoek's Havana informal settlement gathered for a meeting to address poor public services, including restroom hygiene, vandalism, and misuse.

Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Lucia Iipumbu, says steps are already underway to address public complaints about office closures during lunch hours at the ministry's Windhoek branch. 

The Office of the Prime Minister has launched a five-year strategic plan to deliver innovative and responsive public services effectively and efficiently through transformational leadership.

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa, has called for cooperation from stakeholders to decentralise their functions and services.

Namibia's Vice President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has reiterated the government's commitment to better people's lives through infrastructure development. 

She said this at the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Home Affairs and Immigration office for the ||Kharas Region.

Erongo RED, in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines and Energy, has electrified 151 houses in Harambee Informal Settlement's Extension 8 in Karibib for N$3.6 million.

Residents of the Kavango East Region have proposed to the 5th Boundaries Delimitation and Demarcation Commission to divide the region into two and create more constituencies, as some of them are overpopulated.

They made the suggestions during the commission's consultation at Rundu.
