The Ministry of Health and Social Services has donated 440 white canes to the Namibian Federation of the Visually Impaired.
The donation is part of the ministry's vision to have an inclusive society by empowering people with visual impairments to move freely and safely.
There is not much support given to persons with disabilities to hone their skills, despite the natural skills that many possess.
The Namibian Federation of the Visually Impaired (NAFVI) says President Nangolo Mbumba's patronage has been a great source of help and strength to the organisation over the last 20 years.
