The National Housing Enterprise (NHE) has reported a revenue increase from N$169 million in 2023 to N$229 million in 2024, a 35% rise, according to its 2023/2024 Annual Report launched at its Annual General Meeting in Windhoek.
The Opuwo Town Council says it made great strides in housing development and service delivery in 2024.
The Council Support Officer for the Opuwo Town Council, Gebhardt Makono, said the council has so far allocated over 300 housing plots to the Shack Dweller Federation.
By December 2027, the National Housing Enterprise (NHE) plans to complete the construction of 546 housing units at Katima Mulilo.
The project is expected to address the housing backlog while providing affordable housing.
Tsumeb Mayor Mathews Hangula says he is pleased with the progress of the servicing of the Nomtsoub extension 9 area, where evicted families from Endombo Hostels will be given first priority to purchase or build houses there.
