The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has rejected accusations of corruption in awarding the contract for producing ballot papers for the 2024 Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

The ECN labelled the claims as baseless and aimed at undermining public trust in the electoral process.

The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) has officially withdrawn its election observers from the production and printing process of ballot papers for the 2024 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has decided to cancel the open international bidding process for printing ballot papers for the 2024 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The ECN says the decision to cancel the bidding process was arrived at on Monday.
