EFN calls for accountability across all media entities

The Editors Forum of Namibia's Chairperson, Toivo Ndjebela, has emphasised the importance of accountability and inclusive engagement within the media sector. 

He highlighted the long-standing challenge of handling complaints involving media entities that are not part of the EFN. 

UNESCO's inscribes 1991 Windhoek declaration

Tomorrow, 7 May, during the signature celebration of World Press Freedom Day, the 1991 Windhoek Declaration will be inscribed in the Memory of the World.

This event will take place in Brussels in Belgium, the host of the World Press Freedom Day celebrations. 

Namibia strengthens access to information

In light of Namibia's recent decline to second place in Africa for press freedom and the upcoming elections, the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Technology has taken action by signing the gazetting of the Access to Information Regulations for publication in the government gazette.
