Several lower-division football leagues across the country are concluding their seasons, and the Okakarara Third Division League is among them.

The police have dismissed allegations circulating on social media that it attempted to cover up a police shooting incident at Okondjatu Settlement, Okakarara, in the Otjozondjupa region earlier this month.

Moving forward, no gravel roads will be constructed, as maintenance on such roads is very costly.

These were the instructions of Works and Transport Minister Veikko Nekundi at a community meeting with local and traditional authorities in Okondjatu, Otjozondjupa Region.

A seasonal farmer at Okahatjipara Village, in the vicinity of Okondjatu and Mbunga Tjamuaha, advises that communal farming communities prioritise removing encroaching bush and scrubs from their farming lands.
