A year after flash floods displaced them from their homes, many families relocated to Farm 508 on the outskirts of Windhoek in the Goreangab area say they are still facing severe daily hardships.

The ||Kharas Regional Council has delivered food aid to families left reeling after a fire destroyed their homes at Aussenkehr Grape Valley farms in the ||Kharas Region. 

 A thunderstorm struck Aranos in the Hardap Region on Tuesday, causing the roofs of several residents' homes to blow off. 

Wind-borne pieces of the roof sheets struck two children, causing them to sustain minor injuries. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says the government will continue to look into the plight of those affected by the floods until they can stand on their feet.

The number of flood-affected households in the Ohangwena Region continues to increase. 

As of Tuesday, 183 households are submerged, displacing 977 people who are now accommodated at six flood relocation centres.

The revival of the Swakopmund House of Safety Project is set to bring much-needed relief to victims of shack fires in the town.

Kunene Governor Vipuakuje Muharukua visited farmers affected by floods at the Swartbooi's Drift border post in the Epupa Constituency to assess the situation and engage with the impacted farmers.

The Ruacana Constituency Councillor's office has distributed food to over 90 households affected by flooding caused by heavy rain.

The displaced individuals come from Otjihitua and Omahenene Villages in the Omusati Region.
