Thunderstorm damages homes in Aranos

 A thunderstorm struck Aranos in the Hardap Region on Tuesday, causing the roofs of several residents' homes to blow off. 

Wind-borne pieces of the roof sheets struck two children, causing them to sustain minor injuries.

Households affected by floods in Ohangwena rise

The number of flood-affected households in the Ohangwena Region continues to increase. 

As of Tuesday, 183 households are submerged, displacing 977 people who are now accommodated at six flood relocation centres.

Ruacana floods displace households, relief efforts underway

The Ruacana Constituency Councillor's office has distributed food to over 90 households affected by flooding caused by heavy rain.

The displaced individuals come from Otjihitua and Omahenene Villages in the Omusati Region.
