BIPA REGISTERS 13 000 NEW BUSINESSES

The Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) registered over 13,000 new business entities in 2025. 

This has expanded the business register to more than two hundred and forty-two registered entities.

The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Trade, Jenelly Matundu, says all companies participating in the Africa Free Trade Area are required to register with the Namibia Revenue Agency.

This is to ensure that they comply with the Rules of Origin and other relevant protocols.

Deputy Prime Minister Natangue Ithete has urged Namibians to register their businesses in order to benefit from various government initiatives.

Ithete made the call during the official opening of the Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) office in Ongwediva.
