Residents of Nkurenkuru in the Kavango West Region joined the rest of Namibia in confronting its environmental health concerns by hosting the National Clean-up Campaign.

The Nkurenkuru launch started with a street march while the National Correctional Services band entertained residents.

The Kavango West Regional Council has concluded assessments of the first phase of the VAT-funded and capital projects.

The projects were funded during the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 financial years.

The Nkurenkuru Town Council has raised concerns that the underfunding of the N$6 million budget may hinder critical town development.

Patrick Kalaluka was elected as Chairperson of the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Nkurenkuru branch, with Jafet Siteketa chosen as Vice Chairperson.

Kalaluka assured that he will work hard to elevate the business community of Kavango West to the level of other regions.
