Namibia is set to host the second Namibia-European Union Business Forum from the 12th to the 13th of May. 

This marks a key milestone in strengthening economic ties and advancing investment cooperation between the two partners.

International Relations and Trade Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavyi has called on Chinese businesses to deepen trade ties by investing in value addition to Namibia’s natural resources. 

She made the remarks during a roundtable and networking engagement in Shenzhen, China. 

Namibia and Brazil are set to explore new areas of cooperation, with an emphasis on agriculture and manufacturing, as well as oil and gas.

Namibia and Russia have emphasised the need to strengthen economic and trade ties amid growing bilateral trade and cooperation.

This was revealed during the opening of the Namibia-Russia Business Forum in the capital today. 

Namibia and Singapore are looking to deepen their economic ties, with both countries set to explore new areas of cooperation while strengthening existing trade relations.

The ban on horticulture exports to South Africa has been lifted.

 Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani, has confirmed the resumption of exports as of Thursday, October 23; previously withdrawn trade permits have also been reinstated.

Namibia’s port development and other key infrastructure projects have attracted interest from the U.S.-based Corporate Council on Africa (CCA). 

Namibia and South Africa are going to scale up trade in the energy, agriculture, and horticulture sectors, among others.
