President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has relieved Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy Natangwe Ithete of his duties, with immediate effect.

This was announced by the Presidency in a statement.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has decided to place the Minister of Police, Senzo Mchunu, on leave with immediate effect and appoint Professor Firoz Cachalia as the acting Minister of Police.
