The Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) has called for stronger collaboration among all data producers and users to improve the country's statistical system.

The Governor of ||Kharas region, Dawid Gertze, has announced that plans are underway to establish a Governor's Development Advisory Council to drive the regional development plans.

He said this when delivering his second State of the Regional Address at Keetmanshoop today. 

The National Planning Commission's (NPC) recently launched strategic plan seeks to oversee National Development Performance by ensuring effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Sixth National Development Plan. 

Members of Parliament in the National Assembly have raised concerns over the continued allocation of funds to projects still at the feasibility study stage, noting that some of these studies are yet to be completed.

Over 50% of Namibia's research infrastructure is concentrated in the |Khomas and Erongo Regions, while no research facilities exist in Hardap, Ohangwena, and Kavango West regions. 

These are part of findings contained in the just-launched Namibia's Research Infrastructure Survey Report.

The Kavango West Regional Development Coordinating Committee has concluded its deliberations on the budget allocation of close to N$400 million for the 2025/2026 financial year.
