The Mayor of Windhoek, Ndeshihafela Larandja, has said the Kapana Festival is not only a celebration of food but also an entrepreneurial spirit.

She said this as the City of Windhoek hosted the festival in the CBD under the theme 'One City, One Sizzle – Together'.

The Namibia University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with VEYA, launched the Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing training and certification programmes to meet the needs of the local industry and students.  

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology has emphasised the need for Namibia to invest in and strengthen collaboration on space technologies with countries, such as neighbouring Angola.

The City of Windhoek’s fire brigade responded to 2,000 fire-related incidents last year, including nearly 200 residential fires.

McNab used the recent Hardap Governor's Cup in Rehoboth to launch an appeal against such social ills.

The Financial Literacy Initiative, in conjunction with the Ministry of Finance, will launch a "RetireWise Booklet", an initiative that aims to enhance and promote the financial well-being of retirees and those set to retire.
