President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has urged adherence to road rules following the deaths of 14 uniformed officers and two civilians in a car accident last Saturday.

Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah was speaking at a mass memorial service held at Persiana Stadium in Mariental today.

Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo releases names of 16 officers killed in Mariental crash

Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, the police chief, has released the names of the officers killed in the Mariental car crash on Saturday.

Shikongo said two sisters were among those who died.

The deceased are:
