Namibia has called for stronger solidarity among developing countries and reform of the global political and economic system as the Non-Aligned Movement commemorates its 65th anniversary.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called for a fundamental shift in mindset among Namibians, stressing that mental transformation must go hand in hand with economic reform if the country is to achieve sustainable development.

Swapo Party MP Sharonice Busch says the national budget must be assessed not only by what it allocates but also by whether it changes the economic structure of the country in a meaningful and durable way. 

Namibia is moving towards institutionalising the Employment Impact Assessment framework, a tool designed to measure the effectiveness of employment policies, investments, and reforms before and after implementation.
