Youth participation will be at the heart of this year's Independence Day celebrations in the |Khomas Region.
Leaders will be engaging young people in national festivities with activities planned over two days, starting tomorrow.
Namibia will celebrate 36 years of independence on the 21st of March, with regional celebrations set to take place across the country. In the Hardap Region, residents will gather in Mariental to partake in various festivities, including cultural performances.
Namibians will hold independence celebrations simultaneously across the country's 14 regions on 21 March.
Information and Communication Technology Minister Emma Theofelus made the announcement this afternoon.
A large number of learners attended the official celebrations of Constitution Day, held at Opuwo in the Kunene Region.
The Office of the Ombudsman, who hosted the event, emphasised the protection and respect for the rights of children at all times.
